Kate Davies worked with several renowned designers to offer us the wonderful patterns of The Book of Haps. A Hap is a scottish word used instead of shawl or wrap. For more than a century, these Haps have been knitting everyday on Shetland Islands to be worn or sold. This book explores the textile history of haps through 5 essays and 13 gorgeous patterns.
These designs will surprise you with their various shapes (square, hexagonal, triangular...), knitting techniques (lace, cables...) and colours.
